In the confrontation between the two Mexican punchers, the older and more famous one will put on the line all four championship belts at super middleweight (up to 76.2 kg). The younger showed himself great in his debut with Freddie Roach in his corner and beat the aforementioned Brit ahead of schedule. Still, he didn't make much of an impression.
"Munguia had a very good fight against me. He throws a lot of punches, has high workrate and high punching power. Also, Jaime is the stronger of the two of them. Canelo is different, he's more calculating, chooses the right punches and doesn't waste energy. He's just a little more intelligent in the ring and his punches are more accurate," said Ryder, who recently retired, comparing the two boxers.
"It will be an even fight, but Canelo will win in the end. Munguia will start better and maybe even lead after four rounds, but Alvarez will pick up the pace in the second half of the fight and win. He will break his opponent and although I doubt he will win early, he will beat Munguia on points," concluded the Brit.
