Saul Alvarez, the absolute champion of the world in the super middleweight division, shared his opinion about the undefeated David Benavides. Canelo noted that he doesn't consider David a monster and compared him to Gennadiy Golovkin.
"Is Benavides a monster? No, he's just like Golovkin. I've fought every style imaginable," Fight Hub TV quoted Alvarez as saying.
Already on May 4, Saul Alvarez will have a fight with his compatriot, unbeaten Jaime Munguia. Their confrontation will headline an evening of boxing that will take place in Las Vegas.
As for David Benavides, he will meet Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk in the ring on June 16. At stake in this confrontation will be the title of interim world champion in the light-heavyweight version of the WBC.
