Insider: Mayweather vs McGregor rematch by modified rules at MMA

UFC will change its rules for the rematch of former boxing champion in five weight categories Floyd Mayweather and MMA Irish fighter Conor McGregor.

Sports promoter and journalist Omar Al Raisi said in his tweet that the fight would be held in five rounds format for five minutes, and the athletes will compete in the 155-pound category.

The rules for the Mayweather-McGregor meeting will be changed. The fighters will perform without shoes, in 4-ounce gloves, and during the fight kicks, elbows and knees, as well as takedowns will be prohibited.
