Warren wants to bring Lomachenko v Flanagan to UK

The formidable Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko reaffirmed his position as the best super-featherweight on the planet by stopping Jason Sosa at the weekend and then signalled his intention to challenge Terry Flanagan or Mikey Garcia at 135 pounds if a unification wasn't forthcoming at the lower weight.

"I’m gonna call Top Rank Boxing Monday and see if I can fight any of the 130 pound champions. If they won’t, then we go to Terry Flanagan," said Lomachenko after stopping Sosa in nine rounds.

Flanagan and Garcia both currently hold versions of the lightweight crown, although the latter is tied up in a mandatory fight with Jorge Linares.

That leaves Mancunian Flanagan free to push on with a potentially money-spinning battle with the amateur legend which Warren hopes to bring to the United Kingdom.

'Turbo' defeated Petr Petrov on the same night Lomachenko enjoyed his latest success, after which Flanagan name-dropped Lomachenko and Garcia himself.

There's no doubt which fight would be the most interest to UK fans, who are not alone in seeing Lomachenko as one of the top pound for pound fighters on the planet.
