A bout between UFC bantamweight champion Alex Pereira and the organization's interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall could headline the promotion's 300th anniversary event. The British heavyweight told the press today.
"The fight with Alex (Pereira) was potentially the main event of the UFC 300 tournament. We toyed with the idea a little bit, but apparently I was more interested in that fight than him. Basically, it just seemed like he wanted to move up to heavyweight, but doesn't want to do it yet. That's all there is to know," - quotes the words of Tom Aspinall portal Low Kick MMA.
Recall, the anniversary UFC 300 will be held on the night from April 13 to 14 in Las Vegas. The event will be headlined by the fight between Alex Pereira and Jamal Hill.
