Merab Dvalishvili, a top fighter in the UFC bantamweight division, spoke about the upcoming fight with the promotion’s former two-weight champion Henry Cejudo.
“I thought I would be the next contender for the belt after the last fight. So I need to beat Henry now. This is a difficult opponent, but all the cards are in front of me. This is the moment that will change my entire life. I've been going towards this all my life, and I'm almost there. Of course, Cejudo will retire if he loses to me! He knows that after defeat it will be time to call it quits. He wants to take the belt. The same thing happened when I fought Jose Aldo. He was on a three-fight winning streak and beat several challengers. Victory over me - and he would go to the title. But I won, and Jose didn’t want to go down the stairs. Aldo retired after me. The same will happen with Cejudo.”
