Pacquiao, now 46, just laced up the gloves for the first time in four years. He faced Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada earlier this month. The fight ended in a majority decision draw, but Pacquiao showed he still has what it takes, rolling back the years with an impressive display.

Garcia, speaking to The Ring Magazine, made it clear he wants to face the 'Pac-Man' next.

"I've been interested in fighting the legendary Manny Pacquiao for a while now. It's something that you dream of. There were talks in the past of us fighting, and then it fell through. There is a history there. I am always up for the challenge. I would be lying if I said I am not interested. If Manny wants to throw down, let's do it."

The 26-year-old American believes his style matches up well against Pacquiao's. He's confident in his abilities as a counter-puncher and thinks he can exploit Pacquiao's aggressive style.

"Manny's style fits perfectly into my style. I'm an extremely good counter-puncher. Pacquiao knows that and that's why most of the time he doesn't mention me as a guy he would want to fight. He lunges in a lot and he knows I have the quick left hook."

Garcia went as far as to claim he would dominate Pacquiao and even knock him out, comparing the potential outcome to Pacquiao's fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.

"He's been successful with his style, but there are chances for mistakes, and for me to connect when he comes in. I know that I would present a lot of problems for Pacquiao. I would dominate him. I would capitalize on Manny's mistakes better than other guys. I would knock him out like Juan Manuel Marquez – all due respect to the legend Manny, though."

Garcia's last fight didn't go his way. He lost to Rolando 'Rolly' Romero by unanimous decision on May 2 at Times Square in New York City. Now, he's looking to bounce back and has his sights set on either Pacquiao or a rematch with Romero.

The former WBC interim lightweight champion wants to fight in December in Las Vegas. Will Pacquiao accept the challenge? We'll have to wait and see if this dream matchup becomes a reality.
