Pacquiao and Mayweather faced each other in the "Fight of the Century" on May 2, 2015, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The bout unified the WBC, WBA, and WBO world welterweight titles. Mayweather won by unanimous decision, but the fight didn't live up to the hype.

Mayweather retired in 2017 after his 50th and final professional bout against Conor McGregor. Since then, fans and experts have debated fantasy matchups involving the undefeated champion.

When asked about a hypothetical fight between prime versions of Mayweather and Roy Jones Jr., Pacquiao didn't hesitate. He told ESNEWS:

"The prime Roy Jones? Roy Jones, Roy Jones. You agree with me? Roy Jones is Roy Jones. In his prime? Man, fast, footwork, strong."

Pacquiao went further, predicting that Jones would have stopped Mayweather. When asked if Jones would have gotten the knockout, he replied, "I think so."

Roy Jones Jr., a four-division world champion, has recently been in a war of words with Mayweather, sparking speculation about a potential future fight. Jones last fought in April 2023, losing a majority decision to former MMA star Anthony 'Showtime' Pettis.

While these fantasy matchups remain just that - fantasy - they continue to fuel passionate debates among boxing fans and insiders alike.
