Tyson Fury Weighs In On Potential Joshua-Paul Clash: "It's Not What Boxing Needs"

Fury, known for his playful jabs outside the ring, couldn't resist poking fun at his old rival Joshua. He said with a grin, "I think it's a good fight. I think it's a real, 50/50 fight."

The idea of this unlikely pairing came from Turki Alalshikh, who's keen to set up the bout. Alalshikh revealed, "Jake Paul accept it. Next week I will talk with Joshua about it." He wants to test both fighters' skills in the ring.

Paul, who's fought 13 times as a pro and won 12, called out Joshua despite being in a lower weight class. His biggest win so far came last month against Julie Cesar Chavez Jr. Before that, he mostly faced former MMA stars and older boxers.

Joshua's had a tough time lately. He lost to Daniel Dubois in September, getting knocked down in the first round and stopped in the fifth. He also had minor elbow surgery earlier this summer. Before that, he suffered two points losses to Oleksandr Usyk but bounced back with knockouts over Francis Ngannou, Otto Wallin, and Robert Helenius.

Fury retired in January after losing twice to Usyk. But some think he might come back for one last clash with Joshua before they both hang up their gloves.

While this fight's still up in the air, Joshua's got other options. He could face Deontay Wilder or Dillian Whyte. Whyte's set to fight Moses Itauma in August, which could set up a rematch with Joshua down the line.

We'll have to wait and see if this unusual match-up comes to fruition. For now, it's got everyone talking, including the ever-entertaining Tyson Fury.
