Shannon Briggs thinks Tyson Fury will beat Anthony Joshua if they ever face off in the ring. The former heavyweight champ shared his thoughts in a chat with MailSportBoxing recently.

Fury vs Joshua is still one of the biggest potential fights in world boxing. Fans have wanted to see these two British heavyweights square off for years.

Right now, Fury's taking a break from boxing. He hung up his gloves in January after losing to Oleksandr Usyk in May 2024. That fight made Usyk the first undisputed heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis back in 1999.

Joshua's had a tough time lately. He got knocked out by Daniel Dubois in the fifth round last September. Before that, he managed to score KO wins against Otto Wallin, Robert Helenius, and Francis Ngannou.

AJ's currently on the sidelines with an elbow injury. He'll probably be back in action later this year. There's talk about him potentially facing Dillian Whyte or Deontay Wilder next.

When asked about a possible Fury-Joshua matchup, Briggs told MailSportBoxing:

"Um, tough one. Pick 'em. It could go either way. I'm gonna go with Tyson Fury."

A lot of boxing fans hope Fury will come out of retirement for this fight. It could be a real legacy-defining moment for both fighters. For now, we'll have to wait and see if this dream matchup ever becomes a reality.
