Arum put Muhammad Ali at the top of his list. He told ESPN, "He was a world figure. People loved him wherever he went, but he was also a great fighter." Many folks see Ali as the best boxer ever.

In second place, Arum picked Manny Pacquiao. The promoter praised Pacquiao's journey, saying, "His life story is amazing. He came from virtually nothing to captivate an entire country." Pacquiao's story isn't over yet. He's set to return to the ring on July 19 against Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title, coming back after four years away from boxing.

Marvin Hagler grabbed the third spot on Arum's list. The promoter called Hagler "the most loyal, stand-up guy I ever worked with. A tremendous fighter with great resolve."

George Foreman came in fourth. Arum noted how Foreman changed his public image, saying, "[Foreman] changed his persona and had such a big impact on our culture. He became the most loveable guy."

Rounding out the top five was Floyd Mayweather. Arum praised Mayweather's skills, stating, "[Mayweather] had extraordinary ability and he backed it up in the ring."

Arum's list gives us a walk through boxing history, from Ali's global impact to Pacquiao's inspiring rise. It shows how these fighters didn't just win in the ring, but also won over fans with their personalities and stories.

While Ali tops many 'greatest of all time' lists, it's worth noting that another fighter has recently claimed that title for himself. But that's a debate for another day.
