Manny Pacquiao Weighs In On Jake Paul's Boxing Legitimacy: "He's Not..."

Paul's last fight was a big one. In November, he outpointed Mike Tyson over eight rounds at AT&T; Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The victory caused quite a stir, with many questioning the outcome. Still, Paul remains undefeated except for one loss in his professional career.

Chavez Jr, on the other hand, hasn't had the best run lately. He held the WBC middleweight crown between 2011 and 2012, but his recent performances have been underwhelming. He'll be looking to turn things around and become only the second fighter to defeat Paul.

Paul's team has been busy. They're in talks with WBA world lightweight champion Gervonta Davis for a catchweight bout before the end of 2025. Plans for a fight with undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez fell through when Canelo opted to face Terence Crawford instead.

Eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao shared his thoughts on Paul's legitimacy as a fighter. When asked if a win over Chavez Jr would solidify Paul's position, Pacquiao said:

"It's up to the fans how they analyse it and how they judge it but I don't think so."

Pacquiao's words suggest he's not convinced about Paul's standing in the boxing world. You can watch Pacquiao's full response here.

The upcoming fight will give Paul another chance to prove himself in the ring. It'll also be an opportunity for Chavez Jr to revive his career. Boxing fans will have to wait until June 28 to see how it all plays out.
