Lennox Lewis picked Mike Tyson to win in a fantasy fight against Tyson Fury. The former heavyweight champion gave his view during a recent interview.

Lewis, known as 'The Lion', retired in 2004 with an impressive record of 41 wins, 2 losses, and 1 draw. He was a three-time world champion and the last undisputed heavyweight champion before Oleksandr Usyk claimed that title in May 2024. Lewis never lost his titles in the ring and defeated some of the best fighters of his era, including Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, and Vitali Klitschko.

Tyson Fury, nicknamed 'The Gypsy King', seemed on track to match Lewis's achievements earlier in his career. He became the unified champion by beating Wladimir Klitschko and later defeated Deontay Wilder in two thrilling fights. However, Fury's career took a turn after losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk. Following these defeats, Fury announced his retirement from boxing.

Mike Tyson, the man Fury was named after, holds the record for being the youngest heavyweight world champion at 19. He was known for his ferocity, speed, and ability to close distance in the ring.

When asked in an interview with the Daily Mail who would win between Tyson Fury and Mike Tyson, Lewis didn't hesitate.

"Mike Tyson."

Lewis's quick response suggests he believes Mike Tyson's aggressive style would overcome Fury's tricky technique and size advantage.

The fantasy match-up discussion comes at a time when another potential fight might be fading into fantasy. A bout between Fury and Anthony Joshua has been talked about for years, but with Fury insisting he won't return to the ring, fans might have to settle for imagining how that fight would play out too.
