Mike Tyson says Jake Paul packs a punch. The former heavyweight champ shared his thoughts on Paul's power before Paul's upcoming fight with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Tyson and Paul squared off in November at AT&T; Stadium in Texas. The bout didn't live up to the hype, with the 58-year-old Tyson struggling to keep up with his younger opponent. Paul, 28, won by unanimous decision after eight rounds.

Despite the lackluster performance, Tyson felt the effects of Paul's punches. He said:

"Jake punches hard. I don't remember it, but my body, my chest, stomach and stuff was really sore … Jake punches hard. My body hurt so bad."

Paul has built a professional record of 11 wins with 7 knockouts. He's aiming to become a legitimate world champion soon.

Next month, Paul will face Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. A win could put him in line for a world title shot.

Critics point out that Paul's past opponents were mostly retired MMA fighters trying their hand at boxing. He's beaten Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley.

The fight with Tyson highlighted the 30-year age gap between them. Tyson, from Brooklyn, was returning to professional boxing after nearly 20 years away.

Paul's upcoming opponent, Chavez Jr., is older and hasn't been active recently. But he'll be Paul's first test against a boxer with significant professional experience.
