Tyson Fury has put together a list of the top British boxers, and he's included himself among the elite five.

The Gypsy King has made his mark in boxing history. In 2015, he dethroned long-ruling champion Wladimir Klitschko on points in an away fight. He then faced Deontay Wilder three times, stopping him in two of those bouts after their first fight ended in a controversial draw.

Fury's last fight was an undisputed contest against Oleksandr Usyk. He narrowly lost on points and got sent spinning around the ropes in the ninth round. Since then, he's hung up his gloves, announcing his retirement in January. But fans still hope he'll return for a showdown with Anthony Joshua.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports Boxing, Fury was asked about the best fighters from British shores. He responded:

"Prince Naseem Hamed, or Carl Froch or Joe Calzaghe or Lennox Lewis, or me."

Prince Naseem Hamed, known for his showboating, held the lineal featherweight title from 1998 to 2001. Carl Froch claimed multiple world championships at 168lbs but never shared the ring with Joe Calzaghe.

Welsh fighter Calzaghe retired unbeaten after 46 fights, competing in both super-middleweight and light heavyweight divisions. Lennox Lewis, a former Olympic medalist, was the last undisputed heavyweight champion before Usyk.

Fury's most recent fights were against Oleksandr Usyk. He lost on points in both the initial fight and the rematch, which took place late last year.

It's clear that Fury sees himself among the greatest British boxers of all time. His inclusion of himself in this list shows his confidence in his achievements and impact on the sport.
