The first fight ended in a deadlock after 12 rounds, but it wasn't without its share of drama. In the ninth round, Davis took a knee following a jab from Roach. Referee Steve Willis didn't count it as an official knockdown, a decision that likely affected Roach's chances on the judges' scorecards. Davis later claimed he had hair grease in his eyes.

Rolando 'Rolly' Romero, who Davis knocked out in the sixth round of their May 2022 bout, shared his thoughts on the rematch with The Ring Magazine.

"I'd take Tank, because I think Tank will make the necessary adjustments."

Both fighters have reportedly agreed to terms for the rematch, with an official announcement expected in the coming weeks. However, there's speculation that negotiations with YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul could potentially delay the fight.

Davis, known as "Tank," will defend his WBA Lightweight World Championship against Roach, nicknamed "The Reaper." The boxers will aim to settle the score and prove who truly deserves the title in this highly anticipated rematch.

Fans can expect an intense battle as both fighters look to leave no doubt about the outcome this time around.
