Rolly Romero will step into the ring against Ryan Garcia wearing a unique outfit that's straight out of a sci-fi classic. The Las Vegas fighter plans to sport customized Nike sneakers and matching gear inspired by the "Back to the Future" movies for their upcoming bout in Times Square, Manhattan.

Romero's footwear isn't just any old pair of boxing shoes. These are $40,000 custom-made kicks that look like they've been plucked right off Marty McFly's feet in "Back to the Future II." Jose Coronado from Aztek Kustoms created these eye-catching sneakers, making sure they're not just for show.

The shoes are fully functional for fighting, complete with working LEDs and the original markings from the movie version. They even self-adjust, just like in the film. It's a pair many fans thought only existed in Hollywood magic.

To complete the look, Romero will wear a robe and shorts styled after the "hoverboard" from the same movie. It's clear he's going all-in on the theme for this fight.

This isn't the first time Romero has worked with Coronado for his ring attire. The designer has previously created themed outfits for Romero based on Bruce Lee, Frank Ocean, and Prince.

Modern boxing has become as much about style and sponsorship as it is about talent in the ring. Fighters often use their ring attire to express personal interests or create a memorable image. Romero's choice to basically cosplay as Marty McFly certainly fits that bill.

While Romero will be channeling the future, his opponent Ryan "KingRy" Garcia will likely stick to a more traditional boxing outfit. The contrast between the two should make for an interesting visual when they face off in New York.

As the fight approaches, fans will be eager to see if Romero's futuristic footwear gives him any edge or if Garcia can send him back to the drawing board. Either way, it's sure to be a bout that stands out, at least in terms of fashion.
