Crawford and Davis have been trading words for a while now. It all started back in 2024 when Davis questioned Crawford's greatness. The rivalry heated up this January when Crawford mocked Davis for not getting an invite to The Ring Magazine awards gala. Things got even more intense in March when Crawford accused Davis of cheating in his fight against Roach.
During the three-hour podcast, Sharpe brought up the ongoing beef between the two fighters. When Sharpe mentioned that Davis said Crawford needed the money, Crawford brushed it off.
"I'm a boxer, he's a boxer, you're a boxer. We all need the money."
When asked about a potential fight with Davis at 154 pounds, Crawford kept it simple, saying, "I wish him all the best."
The conversation then turned to Davis's recent fight with Roach. Crawford didn't mince words about what he saw.
"I guess that's part of the new, you know what I mean, era of boxing. I'm as confused as you are. I said, 'Huh?' I was like, 'Oh, that's crazy.'"
Crawford went on to share his take on the fight's outcome.
"I thought it was a close fight. But I would have given the edge to Roach. (Roach) had a great fight. Gervonta also had a great fight, but I think he just got too confident. I don't think he took Roach seriously."
Despite the ongoing tension between Crawford and Davis, Crawford seemed to try and keep things calm during the podcast. He made it clear he wants to stop the back-and-forth messages with Davis.
As for what's next for these two boxing stars, only time will tell. But one thing's for sure – the boxing world will be watching closely to see how this rivalry unfolds.
