Tony Bellew Forecasts Usyk-Dubois Rematch Outcome: "It'll End Much Quicker This Time"

Dubois, the current IBF world champion, earned his shot at undisputed glory last September. He stopped Anthony Joshua inside five rounds in what many consider his most impressive outing to date.

Usyk's journey to the top of the heavyweight division has been nothing short of remarkable. The Ukrainian fighter defeated Anthony Joshua twice in 2021 and 2022, claiming three major world titles. He then went on to beat Tyson Fury twice on points, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis.

The two fighters have met before. In August 2023, Usyk stopped Dubois in the 9th round. That fight wasn't without controversy, as Dubois put Usyk down with a punch that was ruled a low blow, giving the Ukrainian time to recover.

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew shared his thoughts on the upcoming rematch.

"Usyk is the best heavyweight in the world. He's probably the best heavyweight of our era, there is no disputing it anymore. He's amazing at what he does."

Despite his high praise for Usyk, Bellew didn't completely write off Dubois' chances.

"Dubois has been amazing. I've wrote him off on a number of occasions and he's come back to prove me wrong. You've got to give him a shot and he's in with a chance, but Usyk has already made him quit once so can he make him do it again?"

Ultimately, Bellew predicts Usyk will come out on top.

"He (Dubois) is at a stage in his career now where he's overcome such adversity and he's the most confident he's ever been but I think he'll get stopped between rounds eight and 12."

The fight announcement comes as exciting news for boxing fans. It takes precedence over both fighters' mandatory challengers, with Usyk due to face Joseph Parker and Dubois slated to meet Derek Chisora.

As July 19 approaches, all eyes will be on Wembley stadium to see if Dubois can upset the odds or if Usyk will continue his reign at the top of the heavyweight division.
