Carl Froch, the former British boxing star, has picked Roy Jones Jr. as the greatest fighter of all time. Froch, who got into the Boxing Hall of Fame in 2023, says Jones' skills and what he did in different weight classes put him at the top.

Froch, known as 'The Cobra', had a great career himself. He won multiple world titles at super-middleweight and only lost twice in 35 fights. He fought some of the best, like Mikkel Kessler, Lucian Bute, Jermain Taylor, and George Groves. His last fight was a big knockout win over Groves at Wembley Stadium.

In an interview with TalkSPORT, Froch explained why he thinks Jones is the best:

"My number one is somebody who was, for me, one of the greatest super middleweights of all time. Untouchable. Unhittable. He actually went up to heavyweight. The speed he had and the skillset was that good. You know who I'm gonna say. Roy Jones Jr."

Jones was known for being really fast and skilled. He could do things other boxers couldn't, like throwing several left hooks in a row. He won titles at middleweight, super middleweight, and light heavyweight. In 2003, he even moved up to heavyweight and beat John Ruiz for the WBA title.

When Jones was at his best, he was amazing to watch. He had speed, power, and knew how to put on a show. But as he got older and moved between weight classes, it got harder for him.

These days, Jones has moved into training boxers. He's still looking for a fighter he can turn into a big star.

A lot of people agree with Froch that Jones is one of the best ever. Even though Jones had some tough times later in his career, what he did in his prime was really special.
