Joseph Parker Drops Bombshell on Joshua-Wilder Showdown: "One of them is not the same fighter"

Parker recently outpointed Wilder in December 2023, adding to the American's woes after his knockout loss to Zhilei Zhang in June 2024. 'The Bronze Bomber' had knocked out every opponent he faced until his trilogy with Tyson Fury, which ended in a draw and two stoppage losses for Wilder.

Joshua's had his own struggles lately. He lost his IBF belt to Daniel Dubois in September 2023, getting knocked out in five rounds. AJ was set to fight Dubois again in February 2024 but pulled out due to illness.

Parker stepped in to face Martin Bakole instead but got stopped in the second round. Despite this setback, he's confident about how a Joshua-Wilder fight would go. In an interview with Mail Sport Boxing, when asked who'd win between Joshua and Wilder now, Parker said:

"Anthony Joshua"

A Joshua-Wilder fight would be huge. Both guys are near the end of their careers, so it could be their last shot at the top of the sport. Wilder hasn't fought since his loss to Zhang, which might play into Joshua's hands.

There's also a chance Joshua might rematch Dubois instead. Either way, Parker's prediction adds an interesting twist to the heavyweight mix.
