Mayweather knows a thing or two about being the best. He retired in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record. During his career, he won world titles in five different weight classes and beat big names like Manny Pacquiao, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, and Oscar De La Hoya.
These days, there's a lot of talk about who's the top dog in boxing. Oleksandr Usyk, Terence Crawford, and Naoya Inoue have all made their mark by becoming undisputed champions in two weight classes. But Mayweather thinks one guy stands out from the rest.

"I think Terence Crawford, right now in the sport of boxing, is the pound-for-pound best fighter. It's good to see him in the position that he's in … Terence Crawford, continue to be great."
Crawford's got the skills to back up Mayweather's praise. He's won world titles in four weight classes, from lightweight all the way up to super-welterweight. He can switch between orthodox and southpaw stances, making him a tough puzzle for opponents to solve.
Crawford's next fight could cement his spot at the top. He's set to face Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez at super-middleweight in September in Las Vegas. Crawford will need to pack on 14 pounds for this fight, but if he wins, there won't be much debate about who's the best in the world.
