Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk Official Weigh-In Reveals Unexpected Gap: "Nobody Saw This Coming"

Fury came in at a whopping 281lbs, the heaviest he's ever been for a fight. He showed up fully clothed, even wearing a leather jacket. Usyk weighed 226lbs, a few pounds more than their first bout, and also kept his clothes on.

These weights tell an interesting story. Fury dropped 15lbs since his last fight against Francis Ngannou, where he weighed 277lbs. But he's still much heavier than when he first faced Usyk at 262lbs. Some fans think this extra bulk means Fury's going for an early knockout.

Usyk's weight hasn't changed much since he moved up to heavyweight in 2019. He started around 215lbs, went up to 221lbs for the Anthony Joshua fight, and was 223lbs for his first clash with Fury. Now he's at 226lbs.

The first time these two met was back in May. Usyk won by split decision and nearly stopped Fury in the ninth round. Fury didn't waste any time in using his rematch clause for another shot at Usyk's WBC, WBO, and WBA belts.

"The Gypsy King is clearly coming for an early knockout,"
one excited fan said after seeing Fury's weight.

But not everyone agrees. Some worry that 281lbs might be too much for Fury, saying he could get caught if he tries to lean on the smaller Usyk.

The fight is set for tomorrow in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We'll soon see if Fury's extra weight or Usyk's consistency will make the difference in this huge heavyweight showdown.
