Steve Weisfeld will likely take Fernando Barbosa's place as a judge for the Oleksandr Usyk-Tyson Fury II boxing match in Saudi Arabia. The change is expected to happen before rule meeting.
Barbosa, who's from Miami, had to pull out because he got sick. There's also been talk about a possible conflict of interest. Barbosa works for Disney and ESPN, and ESPN is the broadcaster that works with Fury's US promoter, Top Rank.
Weisfeld, who's from New Jersey, flew to Riyadh on Thursday night. He's got a lot of experience judging big fights. He's seen both Fury and Usyk in action before.
Weisfeld was one of the judges for Fury's rematch and third fight with Deontay Wilder. In those fights, he had Fury ahead when Wilder got stopped. He also judged Usyk's first fight against Anthony Joshua, scoring it 116-112 in Usyk's favor.
