Tommy Fury won't fight Darren Till on January 18th 2025. The boxing match got called off because Till kept saying he'd use MMA moves if he started losing.

Fury explained why he pulled out:

I can't believe I'm writing this but I am now not fighting Darren Till on January 18th 2025. For the one simple reason being that Darren has stated over and over that he does not want to abide by professional boxing rules and that if he is losing the fight he will resort to kicking and other stupid MMA tactics. I am a professional boxer, I have been out of the ring for over a year and I wanted this to be a great BOXING fight for the fans.

The 25-year-old boxer promised fans he'd find a better opponent and hinted at good news coming soon.

Till, a former UFC star training at Rotunda ABC in Liverpool, said he only made those threats to hype up the fight and get in Fury's head. He still wants to make his pro boxing debut on January 18 and is looking for a new opponent.

A potential replacement stepped up right away. Billy Joe Saunders, a two-weight world champion, offered to fight Till, saying:

Make an offer, I'll step in. Old fat gypsy boy will take this over from here.

Saunders hasn't fought since losing to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in 2021 - his only defeat so far.

We'll know more about what happens next pretty soon.
