Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are getting ready to face off in the ring this Friday. The match will stream live on Netflix and feature eight two-minute rounds.
At 58 years old, "Iron Mike" Tyson is stepping back into professional boxing for the first time since 2005. The former "Baddest Man On The Planet" has caused quite a stir in the boxing world with this comeback.
Many think Tyson's too old for the fight. But recent training footage shows he's still got some serious power. He dropped one of his sparring partners and even busted his coach's lip during preparation.
Jett Blackwell, an unbeaten heavyweight who's been sparring with Tyson, shared his experience in a recent interview:
"It was pretty aggressive sparring. It wasn't real light. All he knows how to do is hit hard. That's just how he is. It was real intense, for the first couple rounds especially. He was hitting hard."
Blackwell believes Tyson still has what it takes:
"No matter the age he's still Mike Tyson. He just has to be patient and know he'll land the shots. If he lands them he'll do damage. He still has it."
People remember Tyson as one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight history. Early in his career, he knocked out his first 19 opponents, with 12 of those coming in the first round.
Boxing legend Larry Holmes has made a bold prediction about the fight, though details of his forecast weren't provided.
