Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are getting ready to face off in the boxing ring. The match is set for Friday at AT&T; Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Tyson, the boxing legend, hasn't had a professional fight since 2005. He did step back into the ring in 2020 for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr, which ended in a split draw after eight rounds.
On the other side, Paul started his boxing career in 2020. He's racked up a 10-1 record since then. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has some big names in his win column, including Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Tyron Woodley. His most recent victory came against Mike Perry in July.
Roy Jones Jr, who knows a thing or two about facing Tyson, shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight. In an interview with JaisSportsTakes, Jones said:
"Jake has gotten good."
But when it comes to predicting the outcome, Jones leans towards the veteran. He told FightHype:
"I think it's a great fight and a great marketing situation as well because a lot of people want to see it. It's a young lion and an old lion. It's a great situation for them. It gives Jake a chance with Mike being as old as he is. I think it's a great opportunity for both fighters but I still think Mike is gonna be a little bit too much for Jake."
The fight will be eight rounds, two minutes each. Fans can catch all the action live on Netflix. It's shaping up to be one of the biggest boxing events of the year.
