Roy Jones Jr Picks Winner for Eubank Jr vs Benn Clash: "The Power Difference Is Clear"

Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn might face each other in the ring after all. The fight, which got called off in October 2022 when Benn failed a drug test, seems to be back on ...

The two boxers got into a heated face-off in the ring after Eubank beat Kamil Szeremeta in October. That win didn't go down well with everyone, though. Lots of people criticized Eubank's performance, even though he won.

Eubank's had a bit of a rollercoaster lately. He lost to Liam Smith, then won the rematch. For those fights, he switched up his corner team. Brian 'BoMac' McIntyre, who trains Terence Crawford, was in his corner for the Smith fights. But for the Szeremeta bout, Eubank brought in Johnathon Banks - his third trainer in as many fights.

Before all this, Eubank had been working with Roy Jones Jr since 2020. That partnership ended after the Smith defeat.

While Eubank's been busy in the ring, Benn's been fighting his own battles outside it. He's been trying to clear his name with the British Boxing Board of Control. In the meantime, he's had two fights over in the States.

Roy Jones Jr, Eubank's former trainer, thinks his old student will come out on top if the fight happens. He said:

"It's going to be hard for Benn to beat Chris Eubank because Chris Eubank is bigger, he's faster, he hits harder, he's had more experiences in really big fights. I don't see how you're going to beat him."

Jones has been talking about other big fights too. He's given his thoughts on the upcoming rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. Apparently, he didn't hesitate to pick a winner, but we don't know who he went for.
