Ryan Garcia Reveals Surprising Take on Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson: "Not What You'd Expect"

None

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul are set to face off in a boxing match on November 15, 2024. The fight will take place at AT&T; Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and will be broadcast on Netflix.

The announcement has stirred up controversy in the boxing community. Many are unhappy about the huge age gap between the fighters and Tyson's long absence from professional boxing. Tyson, a former heavyweight champion, hasn't had a professional fight since 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride. His last appearance in the ring was an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, which ended in a draw.

Jake Paul, on the other hand, has won all but one of his professional fights. He's made a name for himself by beating former MMA fighters who've switched to boxing, including Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, and Mike Perry.

Ryan Garcia, a controversial star in the boxing world, has shown support for Tyson. He posted on X (formerly Twitter):

"If Jake Paul somehow beats Mike Tyson, I will finish him I put that on my momma."

Garcia's support for Tyson isn't surprising. Before Garcia's fight with Devin Haney, he visited Tyson's dressing room and said:

"I love you, Mike. You look good. I'm going to your fight, I'll be there. I'm with you in everything, remember that, always in spirit. I got you."

Larry Holmes, who once fought Tyson, has also voiced his support for the former champ.

The match-up between Tyson and Paul is unusual. Tyson hasn't stepped into a professional ring in nearly two decades. Paul has made a career out of boxing former MMA fighters. It's a clash of eras and styles that's got everyone talking.

As the fight date approaches, all eyes will be on these two very different boxers. Will Tyson's experience trump Paul's youth? Or will Paul add another big name to his list of victories? We'll find out on November 15th.
