Tim Bradley Reveals Surprising Shift in Bivol-Beterbiev Prediction: "I Was Wrong"

Tim Bradley has changed his mind about the upcoming Dmitry Bivol vs. Artur Beterbiev fight. The former two-weight world champion now sees it as an even match-up.

Bradley initially favored Bivol to win. He told Themistode on YouTube nearly a year ago:

"Bivol is a very tough match-up. Having that strong foundation amateur pedigree, and also having an educated jab and in and out footwork, that can keep Beterbiev off balance. Who would I favour? Right out the gate I would favour the boxer."

But Beterbiev's recent stoppage victory over Callum Smith has made Bradley rethink his prediction. He told Boxing News:

"Tough fight. I'm going to say 50-50, I've always favoured Bivol but he'll have to fight a perfect fight to keep Beterbiev off of him."

Bradley was impressed by Beterbiev's discipline and lifestyle. He said:

"He's a real champion. He's disciplined and devoted to his religion. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke, he takes care of himself. When you preserve your body like that you can last long in the sport."

The fight will take place on October 12 in Saudi Arabia. It will crown the first undisputed king at 175 lbs in over 20 years, since Roy Jones Jr held all the belts. Bivol brings his WBA title to the table, while Beterbiev puts up the WBC, IBF, and WBO straps.

Former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman believes Beterbiev is unbeatable. The Russian has knocked out all 19 of his opponents so far.

The winner will make history in the light heavyweight division. Fans can't wait to see who comes out on top in this clash of champions.
