Former world champion and current head of Kazakhstan's NOC Gennadiy Golovkin said he wants the national federation to withdraw from the IBA and move to rival World Boxing.
"We on our part are trying to convince the federation to join World Boxing, trying to insist on it. We are trying to do it and we will continue to push them towards this decision. But the decision will remain with the Kazakhstan Boxing Federation, it's her free choice. Her decision," Reuters quoted Golovkin as saying.
