Next fight of Gennady Golovkin is not determined yet.
Negotiations are underway for a unification duel between the IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) and the WBA champion Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs). The fight is to take place in the spring in Japan.
Eddie Reinoso, the coach of Saul Alvarez (54-1-2, 36 KOs), unlike many fans and experts, was not particularly impressed by the form of Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs) in his victorious fight against Kamil Sheremeta (21-1, 5 KOs).
WBC, WBA super middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez believes he will beat Gennady Golovkin if they meet in their third fight. Canelo entered the ring last month in his only fight in 2020 when he took a decisive victory over previously undefeated Callum Smith to win two championship titles.
Saul Alvarez has left vacant the belt of the WBA middleweight champion, which he won in 2018, beating Gennady Golovkin in rematch.
Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs) is one of the potential contenders for IBF middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (41-1-1, 36 KOs), who is expected to return to the ring at the turn of April and May. The fight with the Japanese, who owns the regular WBA belt, may take place in Tokyo.
