Edwards was denied a fight with Muhammad at UFC 300

UFC welterweight championLeon Edwards revealed that the promotion turned him down for a fight against Belal Muhammad at the 300th anniversary tournament, which took place April 14.

"I was offered to fight three different opponents at the UFC 300 tournament and I agreed to each one. At one point I asked about fighting Belal, but I was told no (laughs). Then I had the desire to fight anyone, because it was a very important card that could change a lot of things in my career. After Makhachev, Rakhmonov and Chimaev refused me, I again offered to make a fight with Belal. They did not even consider this option, that's how things are," Leon Edwards was quoted as saying by BJ Penn.
