Rider predicts winner of Alvarez-Benavidez fight

British boxer John Ryder discussed the topic of a potential confrontation between the absolute champion in the second middleweight Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and holder of the WBC belt in the same category David Benavidez.

“It will be a very tough fight for Alvarez, but he has excellent slips and knows when and what to throw out. He strikes whenever he wants.

Benavidez is huge for this division. I think he has to seriously lose weight to fit into the limit. I doubt we'll be able to see the true power of his punch because of this. I think Canelo's skills can neutralize all of David's strengths. So I only see Saul winning this battle,” Boxing News quotes Ryder.
