Oscar De La Hoya, a former world champion and now a successful promoter, said that he was worried about the psychological health of his protégé Ryan Garcia ahead of his fight with Oscar Duarte.
“I have to say that I am concerned about Ryan Garcia's state of mind. Given his history of mental instability, his current erratic behavior shows that he is clearly not focused on Saturday's fight. You’re not answering my calls, Ryan, but I hope you’re okay,” the functionary said.
