Chimaev pulled out of title fight in January

UFC middleweight Khamzat Chimaev announced that he refused to fight for the title in January of the following year.

“My manager called me and said in January. But the manager himself did not agree with them, he said, if you want, do this fight, and whoever wins, we will fight with him. Because I now have minor injuries, we are treating these injuries, and we also need to prepare for the fight. This cannot be done with injuries. Now there is a month of rehabilitation, and then preparation. After this fight, it will be clear who will fight with me. I remain an official contender for the title,” Chimaev said.

Let us remind you that on January 20, UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland will defend his belt in a fight against Dricus Du Plessis.
