British super middleweight boxer John Ryder shared his expectations from the fight between the absolute champion in the first middleweight Jermell Charlo and absolute in the second middle division Saul Alvarez, which will take place on September 30th in Las Vegas.

ā€œYes, Canelo is an aging fighter. HeĀ spent many busy years. The last few years have taken a lot from him. There was a title unification, a loss to Bivol, and then a win over Golovkin. It was a good win, he beat him in every round, but he looked a little lackluster. HeĀ still has a lot to give. I know he'll get a lot of attention on September 30th for his fight with Charlo, but he'll do a good job.

Jermell is moving up in weight classes and he's probably a naturally big guy. ButĀ we have to remember that Canelo started out as a welterweight. I'm confident that the preparation process will be much easier for Charlo. He won't need to lose weight and will be able to focus on his tactics.

When you think you're doing well in the Canelo fight, you're actually not. He looks at what will happen next and watches how you hit and how your other hand moves at the same time. ItĀ lures you in by giving you this false sense of security.

I think Charlo will have a chance if he can get closer to him and work at close range. I had a lot of success in this aspect in the Canelo fight, but I couldnā€™t develop it,ā€ Ryder told Fight Hub TV.
