Gvozdik on sparring with Alvarez: 'I wasn't a beating bag'

“I will 100 percent say that I was not a beating bag. At first it was harder, but we did not start with long sparring. It was three or four rounds. Then gradually increased. Throughout the entire training camp, I never once felt that I was beaten. To be honest, Alvarez did not set such a task.

Three more boxers worked with us, Canelo had only four sparring partners, and it seems that I was the least flown,” said the Ukrainian.
