Saint-Pierre: I begged Fertitta to hold the tournament in Paris

Former UFC two-weight champion George St. Pierre I remembered how many years ago he persuaded former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta to hold a tournament in the capital of France.

“I wanted to fight in Paris. I remember when I competed, I begged Lorenzo Fertitta to hold the tournament in Paris. But at that time this sport was banned in France. I really wanted to fight in Paris because I'm French by birth," St-Pierre said in an interview with ESPN.
