Ruiz beats Ortiz by knocking him down three times

Andy Ruiz, a former world heavyweight champion (35-2, 22 KOs), got one of the most important victories in his professional career by winning a unanimous decision against a Cuban Luis Ortiz (33-3, 28 KOs).

Ruiz managed to shock the veteran three times by sending him to the canvas - twice in the second round, and once more in the seventh. However, Ortiz managed to reach the final gong.

All three judges gave preference to Ruiz, giving the corresponding score: 113-112, 114-111, 114-111.
