Alvarez and Golovkin promise knockout in third fight

Gennady Golovkin (42-1-1, 37 KOs) and Saul Alvarez (57-2-2, 39 KOs) say they want to end their third fight on September 17 ahead of schedule.

“Golovkin is a good boxer, but I am at the top of my career. I don't want this fight to last the whole distance, I want to finish it ahead of schedule. I respect those opponents who respect me. I will be one hundred percent ready. I feel very strong. This has to be the best fight of the entire trilogy,” said Canelo, who will defend the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO super middleweight belts in this fight.

“We have unfinished business, and we will solve them soon. But I know that I must win it ahead of schedule. I don't know where he gets angry at me, maybe he needs to somehow motivate himself after the last defeat. But if he wants to destroy me, fine, I'll be ready for it. Fans say that Canelo is much better than he was in our second fight, but in my opinion, he just didn’t fight such good opponents as me after that, ”the puncher from Kazakhstan replied.
