Alexander Emelianenko summed up the fight with Artem Tarasov.
"He wasn't fighting, he was running. When I cut the corner, he brazenly turned his back on me and ran like a hundred-meter race. I didn't have the task of outrunning him in circles, but I was running after Tarasov as best I could to catch up with him. I was pressing him the whole fight and he was running away again. All I had to do was catch him, start the attack, and Tarasov was falling on his ass. I worked easily, didn't tense up, didn't even break a sweat. I got more sweaty during the warm-up. Tarasov did not give me any discomfort in this fight".
