Golovkin on his new coach: Call it a reboot

Former middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (38-1-1, 34 KOs) in his last interview shared his impressions of working with the new mentor Jonathon Banks: “Yes, it can be called a reboot. New approach, new atmosphere. Now the team has a new look at everything.”

“I cannot say that we were on the wrong road. We have been quite successful in our careers, but here other options appear. I feel like a student who “burns” to learn more, wants to learn more and try it all. There is a goal. It is not necessary to go on the trodden road. You can try a different way, a different approach,” Golovkin said.
