The daughter of legendary boxer George Foreman found dead

Frida Forman, the daughter of the legendary American heavyweight George Foreman, died at the age of 42. According to law enforcement sources, Frida’s body was found in her home near Houston, Texas, by a family member, after which the police arrived at the scene. The causes of death are not reported yet.

Frida is one of the seven daughters of George Foreman. She started her professional boxing career as a middleweight in 2000. At the time of the first entry into the ring, she was 23 years old.

The first five fights ended for the girl with victories (three via knockouts), and she experienced her first defeat in 2001, in her sixth duel. The failure to some extent broke the spirit of the athlete, and she left boxing, concentrated on her family. Foreman supported the decision of his daughter. According to US media reports, the father was not pleased with his daughter’s decision to become a professional boxer.

Frida Forman also starred in several documentaries about her famous father. She was the star of one of the episodes of the comedy cartoon "King of the Hill" (the episode was released in 2003).

George Foreman was the Olympic champion in 1968. He was the WBC heavyweight champion (1973-1974), WBA (1973-1974, 1994-1995), and IBF (1994-1995). The Ring magazine placed Foreman at 9th place among the top 100 punchers in boxing history.

In 1994, Forman, at the age of 45, won the WBA and IBF world champion titles, becoming the oldest world champion in boxing history (this record was broken in 2010 by light heavyweight Bernard Hopkins, but Forman remained the oldest heavyweight champion).
