Ukrainian welterweight Taras Shelestyuk (16-0, 10 KOs) says that now he negotiates on the fights himself, because he ceased cooperation with his manager and is close to breaking the contract with the promotion company.

- Taras, for more than a year you have no fights. It seems that you deliberately chose it, because of the existing problems with your manager and promoter...

- The situation is as follows: I have wanted to terminate the contractual relationship with my manager and promoter for a long time. The first part was a success, I have not worked with the manager for six months. But my contract with the promoter expires only after a year and a half. But I'm negotiating to get rid of the obligations to the promoter before and return to the ring as soon as possible.

- It turns out that your promoter and manager did not fulfill their obligations to you?

- In the past and this year I was promised big fights. There was talk of a fight against Lucas Mattysse, then two times they promised a fight against Keith Thurman in the past and this year. Last September there was an opportunity to make a fight in Kiev, Ukraine, but the promoter said that we did not need to go to Ukraine, they say. They said we would make me the fight Jesse Vargas in October in Los Angeles. Constant promises, but the reality is that there are no good battles. And no battles at all...

- And who then performs the duties of your manager?

- Now I'm negotiating myself. In addition, there are people who help me and counsel me.

- And can you say, at least approximately, when you will enter the ring?

- I would like very much to say that my fight will be held somewhere and then, but... I hope to return to the ring this fall and hold a couple of easy fights before the end of the year, in order to regain my combat shape.
