UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley said that the legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather is really set to perform in mixed martial arts and they have already agreed on joint training.

"Floyd Mayweather is interested in a battle by the rules of mixed martial arts. I saw him at Jordan's party at the weekend, which hosted a match of NBA All stars. We talked about the training and agreed to meet in Las Vegas to practice and prepare for MMA.

"Floyd is one of the greatest punchers of all time. How many people in UFC who do not know the skills of wrestling and grappling, consider themselves fighters of the rack? If they meet in the octagon with one of the greatest punchers, they will find themselves in a quandary.

"First of all, we will work on blocking the kicks. There's no point in teaching Floyd how to deal with these blows. Secondly, of course, we will work on protection from the takedowns. If he can avoid shots in fractions of a second, make people look stupid and miss a million times, then he learns wrestling. In that case, obviously, he will decide what kind of fight he wants to take," Woodley said.
