Former world light heavyweight champion Sergei Kovalev (30-2-1, 26 KOs) says that he is considering the option of completing his career, noting that at the moment he has no proposals for a fight.

"I conduct a certain training process. In the beginning of September I return to America, where I will train fully, but I have no thoughts about my next fight. There are no dates. Maybe I'll finish my career soon, I'm thinking about the end of my career. It's time, probably, to stop boxing. While there is nothing specifics, and I do not know what I will be doing in the near future. Maybe it’s time to stay with family."

Kovalev’s last fight was against Andre Ward whom he lost by knockout.
