Mark Ramsey, coach of unified light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev, assured that age is not a hindrance for his ward.
"Artur is always training. He takes a week of rest, and then immediately returns to the gym. Whether it's strength and endurance work or boxing, he's always doing something. He's never been out of the gym for months. Even when he doesn't have a designated opponent, we always have technical goals. Even at 39, he's getting better at training.
Right now, we don't see Beterbiev slowing down in the gym. Of course, he's human like everyone else, so at one point Artur will get older. But right now, we don't see any signs of that. Every fragment of this puzzle is in place, so it's very easy for me to train such an athlete," the specialist is quoted by Boxing Scene.
