Terence Crawford has given Errol Spence Jr. a perfect rating, despite his history of disrespecting Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Crawford and Spence Jr. spent about five years at the top of the welterweight division. Fans couldn't agree on who was better until they finally fought in 2023. Crawford won decisively, and Spence Jr. hasn't stepped in the ring since.

Now, Crawford has shared his thoughts on his former rival. He told reporters:

"I give him a 10. He was an undefeated unified world champion, running through all the welterweights that were put in front of him. Plus, he beat a few champions. I give him a 10"

This high praise comes from a man with an impressive record himself. Crawford boasts 41 wins, no losses, and 31 knockouts. Spence Jr.'s record stands at 28 wins, 1 loss (to Crawford), and 22 knockouts.

Crawford's positive comments about Spence Jr. stand in contrast to his past remarks about Canelo Alvarez. The American boxer has previously spoken disrespectfully about the Mexican champion.

Interestingly, Crawford and Alvarez are set to face each other in the ring. The fight is scheduled for Saturday, September 13, 2025. It'll be interesting to see if Crawford's attitude towards Alvarez changes as they prepare for their bout.

Crawford's high regard for Spence Jr. shows he can give credit where it's due, even to a former rival. It remains to be seen if he'll extend the same courtesy to Alvarez as their fight approaches.
