Alexander Gvozdik, former WBC light heavyweight champion of the world, recalled his early defeat to Artur Beterbiev.
"It is possible that I was not 100% ready, not 200%. Perhaps, it's just that Beterbiev turned out to be very strong. I'm talking about my impressions. About what and how I felt in that situation. It's possible that these are just my excuses. It's possible that I just felt that way. It's possible that it was my ego telling me, "Look, you have to tell everyone that it wasn't your fault. You have to tell everyone that you just weren't ready," - quotes the Ukrainian boxer vRINGE.
Recall, in the next fight Gvozdik will fight with David Benavides for the title of interim world champion in the light-heavyweight version of the WBC.
